Meet The Owners
Jill and Bob are growing something new at was once Jill’s dad’s thriving nursery business (Brookhaven Nurseries). In place of the thirty greenhouses is expansive property for the new Event Center and outdoor celebrations. Coupled with the two-story colonial home, the property is a “labor of love” for Jill’s childhood home place. The Logans have seven grandchildren. Two set of twins! The kids love to roam the property. They especially like to fish, go kayaking, and sleep at ‘Granddaddy’s big, white, house.
Both Jill and Bob are passionate about every detail in establishing the venue as place of beauty, convenience, affordability, and friendliness for everyone who steps on the property looking for the perfect place to have their very special celebration. Contact us for yours!
History of the Property
Homestead At Brookhaven Nurseries is a southern-style home, circa 1950, that is situated on a manicured estate lawn that is edged by magnificent mature live oak trees. The surrounding property offers the opportunity for country walks and includes a five-acre lake that adds to the tranquility of the setting. Wildlife, birds, and a quiet country setting abounds. Yet, the property is located within two (2) miles of downtown Brookhaven.
For three generations, the Burns family has opened their doors to the community and beyond, providing bountiful selections of buds, blooms and shrubbery. Today, Mr. Frank Burns is retired, and there are grassy fields in place of the greenhouses. However, Jill Burns Logan and her husband, Bob, have reopened the property as an unequaled locale and picturesque event and lodging venue.
